WiFi File Share
How it works
- Open the app and tap "Start Sharing".
- Allow the "Local Network" permission when asked — the app cannot work without it.
- A link appears, for example
http://192.168.1.25:8080.
- Open that link in a browser on any device on the same Wi-Fi network.
- From that page you can upload files to the phone or download from it.
Troubleshooting
The link won't open on the second device
- Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network (not one on cellular).
- Some café and hotel networks block devices from talking to each other (client isolation). Try another network or a personal hotspot.
- Type the full link including
http:// and the port number.
"Start Sharing" is disabled
The device is not on Wi-Fi. Connect to a network and try again.
The page asks for a password
You set a session password in Settings. Leave it empty if you don't want one — but we recommend using one on public networks.
Sharing stops when I close the app
This is iOS behaviour and cannot be bypassed: the app cannot keep the server running in the background. Keep the app open during a transfer.
"File too large" message
The free version is limited to 256 MB per file. The Pro version removes this limit entirely.
Nearby devices don't appear
- The app must be open on both devices and in "Nearby" mode.
- Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on both devices.
- When a connection request arrives, a confirmation prompt appears — you must accept it.
Purchases
If you bought Pro and it isn't active, open Settings → Restore Purchases.
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you purchased with.
