Summary
WiFi File Share collects no data about you and sends your files to no server.
Files move directly between your own devices on your local network.
1. Data we collect
We collect no personal data whatsoever. The app has no user accounts, no analytics,
no advertising networks, and no third-party tracking SDKs. We never see your files,
their names, or your device addresses.
2. Where your files are stored
Files you add or receive are stored only in the app's sandboxed storage on your device.
When sharing is on, the app runs a temporary server on your device that other devices on the same Wi-Fi network connect to.
Files never pass through any intermediate server and are never uploaded to the internet.
You can delete any file at any time from within the app; it is removed from your device.
Deleting the app deletes all files stored in it.
3. Permissions and why we ask
Local Network: required to run the sharing page and discover nearby devices. Used only within your own network.
Photo Library (add only): requested only when you tap "Save to Photos" on a received photo or video. The app cannot read or browse your photo library.
Notifications: optional, to alert you when a file arrives. You can disable them in the app or in system settings.
4. Sharing security
While sharing is on, any device on the same Wi-Fi network can open the sharing page
unless you set a session password in Settings. We strongly recommend using a password
on public networks. All traffic stays within your local network.
5. In-app purchases
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment or
card information. Those transactions are governed by Apple's privacy policy.
6. Children's privacy
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from any user, including
children under 13.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change.
